Assessment Description For this Task, students are required to work in groups (each Group should comprise 3-4 students). Drawing on what you learned from the Week 2 learning resources (including the Video Exercises for that week) you are required to provide a Research Proposal for the following context: Despite the fact that a growing number of consumers are aware of ethical clothing" (e.g. clothing that was NOT made in a sweatshop. clothing that was made in a way that does NOT harm animals or the environment etc.) they continue to buy "conventional" clothing instead (e.g. often produced in sweatshops, made out of animals or using chemicals that are harmful to the environment etc.). The Structure for your Research Proposal should comprise the following sections: 1. What is the "Purpose of the study"? 2. Read 3 journal articles on "ethical clothing" (or "green" fashion, "environmentally responsible clothing" etc.) and use what you learn from your reading to provide a section called "Background to the research problem 3. "Research questions": What specific questions need to be asked and answered in order to address the Research Problem? 4. "Study sample": Who should serve as the sample for your study? (Note: as per Task 2, assume that a Survey method will be used to collect the data). 5. "Method of survey administration": How will the survey be administered? (e.g. online, face-to-face, via telephone etc.). 6. "Variables to include": What "variables" should be included in the Study? For example, if you were studying the satisfaction of Federation university students, you might include variables such as their "overall satisfaction", the university factors that might influence their overall satisfaction (e.g. teaching quality, perceived relevance of Course content, how helpful administrative staff are, quality of campus facilities etc.) and some variables that capture some background information about each student. 7. Based on what you learned from the Video Exercise on "how to write a research proposal, include any other sections you think will help inform your study.
