Question 5 (10 points) Two identical incandescent light bulbs, each with resistance 2 Ohms are connected to a source with emf( electromotive force) 8 V and negligible internal resistance. Find the current through each bulb, the potential difference across each bulb, and the power delivered to each bulb if the bulbs are connected in series. Current flowing through each bulb is 2 A, potential difference across each bulb is 4 V, power delivered to each bulb is 8 W. Current flowing through each bulb is 4 A, potential difference across each bulb is 8 V, power delivered to each bulb is 32 W. Current flowing through each bulb is 3 A, potential difference across each bulb is 4 V, power delivered to each bulb is 18 W. Current flowing through each bulb is 1 A, potential difference across each bulb is 8 V, power delivered to each bulb is 8 W.
Question 6 (10 points) A copper wire with a diameter 1.02 mm carries a constant current of 1.67 A to a 200-W lamp. The free electron density in the wire is 8.5 x 1028 per cubic meter. Find a) the current density and b) the drift speed. Current density is 3.06 x 109 A/m² and drift speed is 7.4 x 10-8 m/s. O Current density is 8.09 x 107 A/m² and drift speed is 5.8 x 10-5 m/s. O Current density is 2.04 x 106 A/m² and drift speed is 1.5 x 10-4 m/s. Current density is 4.03 x 108 A/m² and drift speed is 1.5 x 10-6 m/s.
Question 7 (10 points) The 90 mF capacitor in a defibrillator unit supplies an average of 6500 W of power to the chest of the patient during a discharge lasting 5.0 ms. To what voltage is the capacitor charged ? 358 V 1994 V 850 V 546 V
