Beethoven’s music is often described as embodying ideas andideals such as individualism and heroism that listeners often findvery inspiring. What are some of the SHMRG characteristics ofhis orchestral music that you think can inspiresuch ideas (list two or three) and explain why? Are there examplesof music by others that you think are similarly inspiring? Whatcharacteristics does that music share withthe orchestral music of Beethoven?
