The Hanahan fence company pays taxes on a yearly basis. Theypaid $12000 in total wages for the week ending January 22 200X. Thefollowing were prepared by HR: Federal income taxes were withheldfrom the employees pay at a rate of 15% and provincial taxes werewithheld at a 8% rate. CPP taxes are 6 percent for the employee andthe employer. EI is 1% for the employee and 144% of the employeecontribution for the employer. Clean air contribution is 1.3% forthe employer. Employees work 50 weeks a year and accrue 3 weekspaid vacation at Christmas time. Health insurance premiums are $430a week; the company pays half of the premiums.
