Foxconn has decided to install up to 1 millionrobots in their factories over the next 3 years in order to addressthe employee suicide rates their company image has been tarnishedwith. Other than that, their shift towards automation will surelygreatly benefit them in the long term as while automation may haveexpensive upfront payments, its long term benefits outweigh thesecosts. They are not only doing this for their reputations sake, butalso because it makes sense from an economical and financial pointof view.
