Kenneth J., is a 65 year old patient, who is being treated
for Hodgkin’s Lymphoma and is going into MSKCC for his 2nd round of
Adriamycin (doxorubicin), bleomycin, vinblastine and
dacarbazine.. He has been having problems with delayed
chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting (CINV), described as
“terrible”, interfering with his nutritional status and quality of
life. Ondansetron/Granisetron have not been helpful for
delayed CIN. As the NP, you recommend?
Please choose from the following medication Zofran(Ondasetron),
Transderm-Scop(Scopolamine), Reglan(Metoclopramide), Neurokinin 1
Receptor, and Emend(Aprepitant)
Also please state the dosage you would prescribe and WHY
