A lifting drive system needs to be designed as indicated inFigure 1.1. The load W should be lifted 100 m within 100 secondsand varies in between of 1000 N and 2000 N. The safety factor is inbetween 2.5 and 3.0.
i. Design the shafts of S1, S2 and S3 according to the Goodmanfatigue failure criterion. [Do Not do this]
ii. Select the suitable bearing for the lifting system.
iii. Select the suitable v-belt for those two pulleysystems.
iv. Design the gear tooth strength of all gears.
