2. In a large country, the proportion of home schooled children 5 to 9 years old appears to be rising. The 2010 national census, showed that the percentage of home schooled children (5-9 years old) was 3%. To gather some evidence supporting the above statement, a SRS of 800 children 5 to 9 years old living in that country was selected. Thirty-five (35) children in this group were home schooled. a) Use a 95% confidence interval to estimate the proportion of children aged 5 to 9 who are home schooled. Also determine if the test is valid. b) Conduct the appropriate hypothesis test to determine if there is indeed a rise in the proportion of children aged 5 to 9 who are being home schooled. Also determine if the test is valid.
