24 Remove the letter "e" slide from the stage of your microscope. Return it to the same slide tray you had taken it from. Obtain the slide with crossed colored fibers 25 Place this slide on your microscope stage. Using a scanning lens, take a look at the region where the fibers overlap. By zooming in and out of focus, determine which fiber is on top and which is on the bottone Color of the uppermost fiber: Color of the fiber on the bottom: 26 Remove the slide with color fiber of your microscope. Return it to the same slide tray you had taken it from. Activity 3: Microscope Storage 1 After you finished your observations, remove the slide from the stage. Return it to the same slide tray you t had taken it from. 2 Important: All microscopes have to be stored properly. Here are the rules you should follow every time you finish using microscopes: a Do not leave a slide on the microscope stage. b Clean the stage and the objective lenses if necessary. Always use lens paper and cleaning solution to clean microscope objective lenses. c Lower the microscope stage all the way down. d Turn the scan lens, the one with red ring around it, into the working position. e Wind the electrical cord around the arm of the microscope. f Return the microscope to its proper (numbered) space.
