Magnitude In this experiment you will determine the type of variable star and the distance for the target star found in the center of the data frames accompanying this lab. To do this you will need to analyze each frame of data to determine an apparent magnitude, then you will plot this data, find an average magnitude, and determine the type of variable based on the shape of the graph. Once that is completed you will determine the distance to the star. The steps to each of these processes is described on the accompanying video(s) for this lab. You cannot do this lab without watching these videos. Below is a data table you will use to fill in your values for the magnitude of our target star in each frame and a graph to use to plot your data. If you cannot print this out that is fine just use whatever method is easiest to ensure you are able to turn in the lab.
