(c) An aircraft is equipped with a stable platform INS. During the alignment procedure the platform axes are oriented to coincide with the runway coordinates as shown in the Figure Q5 below. The y-axis accelerometer has an asymmetry of 1%. The scale factor in the positive direction is 1.01 higher while the scale factor in the negative direction is correct. The aircraft takes off, accelerates to 180 knots and then executes a 180° turn to the right as shown.
