Paws in Prison is committed to rehabilitating inmates and givingshelter dogs a second chance at life. Selected inmates have theopportunity to become trainers of rescue dogs in the program.Inmates work with the dogs teaching them basic obedience skills andproperly socializing the animals, making them more adoptable. How isit beneficial for the incarcerated individual, the prison, and thecommunity? Do you believe this type of program should be includedin correctional institutions?
