Which of the following is the best example of using pragmatic cues to learn words? Lisa learns the word "keys" by hearing her parents say the word "keys" several times throughout the day in different contexts (eg. when they are pulling out their car keys. house keys, or garage keys). Lisa's parents show her their silver house keys and tell her "these are keys." Later, they put in front of her a pink toy key and a silver coin, and ask, "which is the key?" Lisa correctly chooses the pink toy key. One morning. Lisa hears her mother exclaim, "I can't find my keys!". Later, Lisa sees her mother smile widely when she finally finds her keys, and Lisa learns the word "keys." Lisa infers that "keys" must be a noun when she hears her mother say. "These are keys."
