Instructions:Students are to choose two (2) wine regions that grow similar grapevarieties and comparethe characteristics of the regions. Student should select one (1)wine region from withinAustralia and one (1) Old-World wine region from Europe.Students should create a report in which they addressfollowing:• Provide an overview of the chosen wine regions• Discuss the history of the chosen wine regions and thedevelopment of wine & otherbeverages in these regions over time.• Discuss how the different styles of wine are produced in bothchosen regions andexplain each step-in detail from vine to bottle. Students shouldconsider thecharacteristics of the vineyard, grape growing techniques,harvesting & productionmethods and discuss the factors that impact on quality.• Explain the classifications and legislative requirements relatedto wine productionfor both regions.
Submission Instructions:This assessment must be submitted in compliance with thefollowing:1. Students should make significant references to the subjectmaterial and substantialwider reading. A minimum two (2) academic (textbooks &peer-reviewed journalarticles) & six (6) other sources (newspaper article, tradepublications, websites, etc.)must be used. These should be referenced in the APA style, bothin-text and in areference list. References to ‘Wikipedia’ or similarunsubstantiated sources will notbe accepted.2. Any detection of plagiarism will lead to an immediate fail gradein the task, andpossible exclusion from the subject.3. Extensions cannot be granted by the lecturer after thesubmission date. In the eventof serious illness or unusual circumstances, a student may applyfor SpecialConsideration in accordance with the rules and regulationsgoverning this application,but it is important that such requests be made as soon asthecircumstance is known.
