Scenario:
Individual Assignment #1
 A Request for Proposal (RFP) by BC Health Authority (BCHA) is available on BC-bid site for a project called, “Office Building Project”.
 The project’s objective is to build a mid-level 50,000 square feet office building in Northern BC.
 8 acre site selected by BCHA.
 Business case based on benefits of having a nurse office building in order to provide in-person
medical services to Northern BC First Nations people.
 BCHA is seeking an independent contractor to design and construct the office building.
 You are an independent contractor and your project objective is to bid on the “Office Building
Project” RFP.
 If you become the successful vendor, you will be the independent contractor who will work with
a design and construction contractor.
 Contract will be lump-sum contract to a single contractor of $8M.
 As part of your bid, you need to develop the scope baseline which is the product scope for the
bid project.
 The product acceptance criteria is all the criteria we learned in this course in regards to Scope
baseline. Project Scope Statement
 Using the project scope statement template given, develop the project scope statement.
o The goal is to complete the Office Building; hence the final product is the Office Building.
