Junior owes creditor Iba $1,000, which is due and payable onJune 1. Junior has been in a car accident, has missed a great dealof work, and consequently will not have the money on June 1. On May15th Junior’s father, Fred, agrees to pay Iba $1,100 for Junior ifIba agrees to release Junior from the obligation to pay the debt.Iba agrees. Assume further that the debt can be prepaid at any timeand that it is not secured by a mortgage on real estate. Does thecontract have to be in writing to be enforceable ? Select one:
