A 4.0 m³ rigid tank initially contains gas, carbon monoxide, at 200 kPa and 22°C. The tank is connected to a supply line through a valve. The gas is flowing in the supply line at 600 kPa and 22°C. The valve is opened, and the gas is allowed to enter the tank until the pressure in the tank reaches the line pressure, at which point the valve is closed. A thermometer placed in the tank indicates that the gas temperature at the final state is 77°C. a- Apply the continuity equation on the system shown to find the simplest form, (5 pts.) b- Determine the mass of the gas that has entered the tank in kg, (15 pts.) c- Apply the energy equation and simplify, (5 pts.) d- Find the amount of heat transfer in kJ. (15 pts.) P₁ = 600 kPa T₁ = 22°C V = 4 m³ P₁ = 200 kPa 1 T₁ = 22°C Qout
