A 3-phase, 20 MVA, 13.8 kVolt wye-connected alternator isconnected to a 20 MVA, 13.8 kVolt Delta/33 kVolt Wye-groundedtransformer. The reactance of the alternator is X1 = X2 = 15%, X0 =5%, Xn = 0, and that of the transformer X1 = X2 = X0 = 7%. If thereis a double line-to-ground fault at the high-tension bus, calculatethe ground current. Assume that faults occurs at line “b” and “c”with 20 MVA and 13.8 kVolts as bases.
