Nevertheless, price fixing does take place. Exampleswould be found at the service plazas along the NY State Thruway andthe NJ Turnpike. Each location has a small number of fastfood restaurants. Each fast food restaurant belongs to adifferent firm, which should create competition, yet at serviceplazas all have uncommonly high prices.
