1. a. Compare the weaving machines, given in Table 1, for their WIR's. Give your reasons for the parameters influencing the production rates of these machines. Which machine is the most productive? Which machine is the lowest productive? Why? b. Calculate and compare the practical output of Dornier PTS 12/S190C with that of theoretical output if the weaving efficiency is 95%. c. Compare the weaving machines, given in Table 1, for their "spatial productivities" and "spatial productivity ratios” and evaluate your findings briefly. Table 1. Calculate both m's and m's of the fabric produced per hour considering the parameters given in Table 2, for the fabrics Type A and Type B. Compare their production rates and explain the reason of difference between them. b. How many weaving machines are needed to produce 20.000 m fabric for both Type A and Type B, that should be delivered in one week (based on the operation of 7 days - 3 shifts/day and 7.5 hours per shift) Compare the required number of machines for the two types and explain the reason of difference between them.
