In this case study you are introduced to data that shows howearthquakes and tectonics are responsible for mountain building onEarth. Specifically, the changes in the High Himalaya andLesser Himalaya after the 7.8 magnitude quake in 2015. TheHimalaya are a continental-continental tectonic boundary, but thereare other types of plate boundaries where mountain ranges are builtas well. Think about other areas of the Earth where mountainbuilding is occurring.
What changes could these areas, including the Himalaya expect, not just physically, but changes to how the society and cultures ofthe area are impacted and react to the various types of mountainbuilding.
