In this week’s discussion, we will define Public Relations, examine its history, and apply that information to issues in the news. After reading Chapters 1 and 2, read the case study, “Publicity Punctures a Powerful Pariah,” beginning on page 18 of the textbook. Then, provide an in-depth response to the four questions following the case (1.11-1.14). For recommendations, be sure that you are providing actionable items that could be implemented, not just an overview of ideas. In this week’s discussion, we will define Public Relations, examine its history, and apply that information to issues in the news.
