In 2000, the Federalist Society asked 78 esteemed historians,economists and political scientist to rank the Presidents on ascale from 1 to 5. The results were published in the Wall StreetJournal. Study the list and make sure to look at the listing foroverrated and underrated presidents as well. With this list inmind, answer the following questions.
1. Were you surprised by any of the rankings? If so, which onesand why?2. Does a President’s popularity when he leaves officealways determine how history will view him? 3. Do we put too muchemphasis on the leadership of this one person?
