Figure 28 shows the roof vues of a pub in Bathuret, New South Wales. The trues is made from Seasoned Kari of Grace F36. The bottom chord of the trues has a cross-section of 290x45mm For design against bencing the bottom chord of the truss can be assumed to carry a untomy distributed load over a simply supported design span of Sm. The clagonal and vertical locations on the bomom chord can be considered to be lateral restraints acting on the top edge of the bottom chord For design, the bottom chord can be assumed to bend in isolation and not inked la bollam chords in adjacent trusses that are at 4m distances on either side of the truss under consideration. Use the following unfactored loads on the bottom chord to determine your design action effects: (a) Permanent action due to gravity loacs-kNm and b) Wind uplift (reversal) 6kN/m. Check if the bottom chord has sufficient capacity in bonding [email protected]=9m Figure 2B
