Design a helical compression spring for a die which is mounted on a peg of radius 9.25 mm exerts a force of 95 N when assembled, when the die is operated the spring is compressed 20 mm and exerts a force of 165 N. Using a 2.8 mm diameter ASTM A228 wire. A fatigue safety factor of 1.7 is required.a)Determine the complete geometry of the spring: diameter, spring rate, number of turns.b)Determine the factor of safety for fatigue and factor of safety for closure for the geometry you have specified. c)The natural frequency of the spring in Hz.d)Buckling condition.
