Part 1. A steam power plant operates betweenthe pressure limits of 3 MPa and 50 KPa. The temperature of thesteam at the turbine inlet is 300 ͦC, and the mass flow rate is 35kg/s. Assume the pump and turbine are isentropic. Determine: a:Cycle thermal efficiency b: Energy out per unit mass. C: Net poweroutput.
Part 2. Solve part 1 forassuming pump and turbine are not isentropic. The Polytropicefficiency of turbine is 80%. The Polytropic efficiency of the pumpis 90%.
