Problem No. 2 (25 Points) Steady water flow at 0.02 meter cube/second is to take place between the two reservoirs shown below. Water is at 20 deg. C with molecular viscosity of 1.00E-3 kg/m.s. The piping is smooth and the minor losses and the head loss in pipes other than the 25 meter long parallel pipes are to be considered negligible. Both reservoirs are open to the atmospheres. a) Estimate the flow rate through each pipe after two iterations assuming initial guesses of 0.015 for both pipes' friction factors. b) What would be the power requirements of a suitable pump that is 70% efficient? Reservoir A 2,-2 m 3 cm Pump 25 m 5 cm Reservoir B Zo9m
