The compressor mass flow rate is 12 kg/s and it rotates at a speed 250 rev/s Assuming no pre-whirl of the flow (in other words Cw₁ = 0) and no losses in the intake duct (i.e. the isentropic efficiency of the inlet before the eye is 100%.) Calculate the blade inlet angle at the root and tip of the eye along with the Mach number at the tip of the eye. Answers. 62.4°, 36.3°, 0.91
