In a factory, there is a 10HP three-phase synchronous motor, which regularly operates at nominal conditions; under which it hasbeen measured that it delivers a power of approximately 7600W, witha torque on its axis of around 83.5N-m.
Its nameplate voltage is 428VLL, its stator is star wired, andits rotor is standard wired. And it is powered by a three-phasedelta transformer.
To maximize the use of the equipment, it was decided to transferthe motor to a different application, in which it is required touse a frequency variator to modify its working speed; and feed themotor from another three-phase transformer, which has a starconfiguration and a 482VLL voltage.
Determine what the motor speed will be in rpm when the VFD isset to 54.3 Hz.
