Brief answers are highly appreciated, thank you.
- why a heart attack patient might experience left arm pain?Explain in terms of convergence?
- how do you explain phantom limb pain (the sensation ofpain in a limb that has been amputated or does not exist). Howcould someone without a hand perceive pain in the hand?
- why hitting the ulnar nerve might be perceived as painfrom the finger tips?
- The mechanoreceptor that were detecting the coinseventually adapted. But when you removed the coin they likely coulddetect this. So, based on this, do you agree with the followingstatement or not: "When a receptor adapts, it is no longer able tosense the stimuli it is designed to sense." Explain
- Thermoreceptors (which sense temperature changes) arephasic if temperature is between 29-37 degrees celsius (84-98.6degrees Fahrenheit). Why do you think they tend to be tonic if yougo above or below this range?
- : Nociceptors (pain receptors) have been shown to notadapt. Why might it be good that they don't adapt?
