Question 6 [3 marks] The Haber process is used to produce ammonia (NH3) which is an important agricultural fertiliser. The reaction results in a chemical equilibrium described below: N2(g) + 3H2(g) 2NH3(g) Write the equilibrium constant (Keq) expression for the reaction above. [1 mark] (i) (ii) The reaction mixture, at a certain temperature, contained concentrations of 0.31 M of NH3, 0.85 M of N2 and 0.031 M of H2 when it reached equilibrium. Calculate Keq at this temperature. [1 mark] (iii) Predict whether this equilibrium position lies to the right (favouring the products) or to the left (favouring the reactants) and justify your answer with reference to (ii) above [1 mark]
