A 500 kV, three-phase transmission line is 300 km long. The
series impedance is z = 0.036 + 0.3j Ω, and the shunt
admittance is y = 4j * 10-6 S/km/phase. The line
delivers 500 MVA, at 0.8 lagging power factor, at 480 kV. Compare
the efficiency of the line between long line model and medium line
model.
