In my opinion, FDA tries to protect the patients at all costs.
When it comes to Cyberthreat, it has been very vigilant. Every
medical device that has been legally marketed is prone to benefits
and risks. FDA only authorities and clears these devices which are
safe and effective and their intentions are clear. With the
technological advancements, hospitals and even small clinical use
Medical Devices as Software and are therefore at a higher risk
keeping in mind the depth of the internet world. This increases the
potential cyber security threats and makes these devices very
vulnerable so much so that it impacts their functioning, safety,
and effectiveness.
In such cases mitigating threats can be a little tricky. FDA has
