13. In IP space an often-used approximation for atmospheric electron density, ne, scales as ne = no/Ra, where no (cm-3) is the plasma density near Earth at 1 AU, and Rd (in AU) is the distance from the Sun. The value of no ranges from ~5 cm-3 around solar minimum to ten times this value at solar maximum. Calculate the electron densities at distances of 1 R. and 10 R. above the solar surface using this model, at the times of solar minimum and maximum. What plasma frequencies do they correspond to?
