Also show by numerical experiment for a range of initial launch angles that 45 degrees results in the maximum horizontal distance. You may assume zero air resistance (in vacuum).

24. Galileo states that if a projectile fired at an angle a from the horizontal at a given initial speed reaches a distance of 20,000 if a = 45°, then with the same initial speed it will reach a distance of 17,318 ifa = 60° or a = 30°. Check this statement.
