It is asked to determine the free-body diagrams for the belt brake in the figure with a scale of 1:10, subjected to a braking torque Mfr = 100.00 Nm when rotating at 0=100 rpm and then it is asked to calculate the braking force F in the condition with sliding friction coefficient 3.0 in the belt surface in contact with the drum. It is also asked to calculate the reaction force in the frame joint of the drum o and braking link, assuming any other necessary condition. Furthermore, it is asked to express the equation of motion of the Mfr braking link with the Lagrange formulation.
