Figure shows a small-signal hybrid-π ac equivalent circuit at
low frequency of an amplifier where Q-point is in the active
region. The circuit’s parameters are as follows: VCC = 12 V, RB =
480 kΩ, β = 100, VCE = 6.83 V, VBE = 0.7 V, VT = 26 mV, ro = ∞, RL
= 1 kΩ, RS = 50 Ω, C1 = C2= 10 uF, Cwo = 8 pF, Cwi = 6 pF, Cce = 1
pF, Cbe = Cπ = 100 pF and Cbc = Cµ is neglected.
1) From the equivalent circuit in Figure, draw the BJT-amplifier
circuit with complete labels.
2) Calculate the value of gm, rπ and RC.
3) Determine the overall voltage gain, AVS when ro = ∞ and when
ro = 100 kΩ. What happen to the gain, AVS?
4) Calculate the low cut-off frequency, fL1.
5) Calculate the low cut-off frequency, fL2
