Question : 1 of 1 Marks for this Question : 10 Section [Module 3] 3 of 3 Upload answer sheets i) A LAN Network is transmitting of data using m(t) signal of 3000 Hz bandwidth is sampled at rate of 35 % higher than the Nyquist rate. The required number of bits to represent each PCM sample is 8 bits. Assume ACK frame is 10 bytes and one-way propagation delay is 100 ms. The processing time as well as overhead bits is 20 ms. Find the efficiency for Stop-and-Wait ARQ if the frame size is 256 bytes. Assume a bit error rate of 10-4 ii) In a data link connection where CRC (Cyclic Redundancy Check) is used, a 10-bit information is given as 1 00111101 1. The generating function used in the CRC is G(x) = x4 + x3 + x +1. a. Calculate the CRC code. b. Write the T(x) polynomial corresponding to the bit string that will be sent, and show which terms belong to data and which terms belong to the CRC code.
