KIA Corporation, commonly known as KIA is a South Korean
Multinational Automobile manufacturer. With its headquarters in
Seoul, South Korea, it is the second largest automobile
manufacturer of South Korea after Hyundai Motor Company.
KIA Pakistan launched KIA Stonic in Pakistan in November 2021.
Its major competitors in Pakistan include Honda BR-VI-VTEC, Toyota
Corolla Altis X Automatic 1.6 Special Edition and Honda Civic 1.8
I-VTEC CVTand City Aspire 1.5i-VTEC CVT respectively. KIA Stonic
was launched in 2017 internationally. It has a 1400CC MPI engine,
which produces 99hp and 134 NM-torque. The car has a 6-speed
Automatic Transmission with Front Wheel Drive (FWD) drivetrain, 6
airbags and many more lucrative features. Whereas, the major
specifications of Honda BRV i-VTEC includes (1497CC Engine which
produces 118HP and 145 NM-torque), specifications of Toyota Corolla
Altis X Automatic 1.6 Special Edition include (1598 CC Engine which
produces 120 HP and 154 NM-torque), specifications of Honda City
Aspire 1.5i-VTEC includes (1497 CC Engine which produces 120 HP and
145 NM-torque). The price range of KIA Stonic is starting from 3.75
million PKR (approximately) which is somehow lesser than some
competitors and more than others. Considering the price ranges of
other market giants, ithe time will decide that the company has
launched the subcompact Crossover SUV at a right price or not. This
move will surely raise the bar for the competitors.
