(4 marks) (6) Propose a reagent that could be used to convert A into B. (2 marks) (c) Draw the structure of the intermediate C formed by reaction of compound A with NaH. (2 marks) (d) Draw the curly (curved) arrows for the conversion of A into c. (2 marks) (e) Give a suitable reagent to convert C into F. (2 marks) (f) Propose the structure of the organic compound D formed by reaction with PBr3. (2 marks) (g) Could HBr be used for the conversion of A into D? Explain very briefly. (1 mark)
