The cost per horizontal meter is $100 for trench-cuts through the soft units A, B, and D, but the cost of cutting through unit C is three times higher. a) Sketch in red pencil, on the map of Figure 3-12, the cheapest pathway of the trench. b) Calculate how much is saved by the cheaper transection as compared to a straight ditch from P to S.
