The purpose of this assignment is to prepare written documents
that communicate your ability to lead and manage in nursing. You
will accomplish this by preparing a complete cover letter and
resume that reflects the requirements included in the posting for a
management position in nursing. The goal is to present your
qualifications in a manner that is consistent with leadership and
management theory, including the skills you have been learning and
developing in this course. You are not to ‘make up’ education
and experience; simply present what you have accomplished using the
language of leadership and management.
Search current job postings for leadership positions in
nursing. From the job posting of your choice, prepare an
application packet for the position according to the requirements
listed in the posting. The application packet will consist
of one file that contains both the cover
letter and the resume. Include the job posting at the end of
your document. Please make sure the link opens or copy and paste
the job posting into the document. The file must have a .doc,
.docx, .rtf., or PDF extension
