Little Johnnie Bennett, seven years old, is brought to the
clinic by his mother because he has been vomiting and has had
diarrhea for the past three days. Mrs. Bennett says that three days
ago he also started to have a slight fever and cough. Today Johnnie
vomited only after eating. He has no other symptoms and is current
on his immunizations. Physical examination shows a cooperative,
