HCl + H2O → H30+ + CH) = Ka = [H3O+] [C) = 1.3 x 106 What about the [HC] concentration of Cl-? For HCl - dissociation is complete: the concentrations of [H3O+] and [Cl] are very high the concentration of [HC] is almost 0, the K, is very large. Thus, the concentration of H+ (in the form of H30+) is equal to the initial concentration of HCl.
