A particular brand of diet margarine was analyzed to determine the level (in percentage) of unsaturated fatty acids. A sample of 15 packages resulted in the following results: mean equal to 17.7 and standard deviation equal to 0.8. I assume normal distribution for the fatty acid level and using a=0.01, test the hypothesis that the average fatty acid level is greater than 17% and answer (use four decimal places and the comma as decimal separator): a) What is the test statistic of the test mentioned above? b) What is the p-value of the test mentioned above? c) Is the average fatty acid level greater than 17%? Yes, as we reject the null hypothesis Yes, as we do not reject the null hypothesis No, as we reject the null hypothesis No, as we do not reject the null hypothesis
