78 year old female is sent to the ED from the nursing home with
report of decreased appetite and rule out impaction. Patient
has history of Dementia is pleasantly alert x1 (norm) denies pain
but is showing moderate behavioral signs of pain including
grimacing and guarding. On assessment patient has a
distended, firm abdomen with vital signs as follows. Temp 102
RR 24 HR 120 and BP 100/70 Spo2 WNL.
