a Jarrod is an eight-year-old year two student recently diagnosed with Asperger's. He enjoys playing a variety of 'imaginative' games in the playground with his friends. These games are often a live replaying of the current DS/XBOX game of the moment and can vary from zombies to dinosaurs as the main characters. Almost always they involve some sort of chasing component. During a recent playtime in the yard it was reported that Jarrod had bitten another student. Initial reports to the yard duty teacher were received with concern and shock. Jarrod's playmates were upset and indignant that he had done this. Initial attempts to discuss what happened and sort the problem out were unsuccessful. Attempts to piece together what had happened from the other students suggested that they had just been playing a game and that then Jarrod had just bitten Cameron'. Attempts to find out what had happened from Jarrod were met with confusion, shrugs of the shoulder and large sobs.
