A case-control study was conducted to evaluate the interrelationships between several risk factors for myocardial infarction (MI). Information on smoking status was collected from a total of 789 cases and controls. Current cigarette smoking, defined as smoking within the past three months, was reported by 157 of the 366 cases and 110 of the 423 controls. Use the 2 x 2 table below to calculate the correct responses to the matching problems below, then use the information here to answer question 13. Current Smoker MI Cases Controls Total Yes A A+B No C D C + D Total 366 423 789 2.14 What would be the odds ratio (assuming it is an appropriate measure for this type of study design) [ Choose < What would be the relative risk (assuming it is an appropriate measure for this type of study design)? [Choose1 What would be the attributable risk (assuming it is an appropriate measure for this type of study design)
