You are the Director of Human Resources at a popular cable company in Jamaica. As part of your responsibilities, you are expected to train new staff as well as conduct workshops for various community groups and schools - largely centered around resume-writing, interviewing techniques, recruiting and selecting employees, and handling business correspondence. This week you have your hands full as you have just gone on a major recruitment drive for customer service representatives and technical field staff in a bid to boost the company's overall service delivery, now there are piles of job applications and resumes that you need to process and reply to within the next five days. Added to this is the group of eight CAPE students in your office who have been understudying you for the past two weeks and you need to conduct some assessments with them....so what are you going to do? Aha! A light bulb flashes in your head! Your plan is to have these students assist in replying to each of these job applicants, and you believe that with the coaching they have received over the past weeks, they should be able to handle this job; moreover, there are other business-related correspondence that you could assign to them. So you get to work assigning tasks to various members of the group, as outlined below.
