Hypothesis:
A group of scholars argues that people became more attentive
toward threats after the outbreak of Coronavirus. Individuals’
threat perceptions were compared before and after COVID. Prior
studies showed that the COVID-19 outbreak triggers individuals’
survival needs (Cohen’s d = 0.43).
Variables in the dataset: Before COVID- after COVID (higher
scores indicate higher levels of threat perceptions)
Q1: Which statistical analysis should be used to test this
hypothesis?
Q2: What kind of hypothesis you have?
Q3: Is the data normally distributed, report properly? (If not,
assume a normal distribution for question 5)
Q4: Run power analysis to determine sample size, a
priori.
Q5: Run the appropriate analysis, report, and interpret the
results.
